Hoist ("the app") is developed by BullForge Labs Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). This privacy policy explains how Hoist handles your information.
The short version: All your job data, invoices, receipts and mileage records are stored locally on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We cannot see any of it.
What data Hoist collects
Hoist collects no personal data. The app does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email address, and does not identify you in any way.
Your business data
All data you enter in Hoist — job details, costs, invoices, client information, receipts, and mileage records — is stored locally on your device. If you have iCloud enabled, this data syncs between your devices via your personal iCloud account, governed entirely by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to your data at any time.
Camera access
Hoist may request access to your camera for receipt scanning. Photos taken within the app are used solely to extract cost information and are stored on your device only. We do not transmit or receive any images.
Analytics and advertising
Hoist contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party tracking of any kind. We do not know how you use the app.
Third-party services
Hoist uses no third-party services or SDKs. The app is built entirely on Apple frameworks. The only external service involved is iCloud, operated by Apple.
Subscription
Hoist uses a monthly subscription, processed by Apple's App Store. We do not receive or store any payment information. All billing and subscription management is handled by Apple. You can cancel at any time through your Apple ID settings.
Children's privacy
Hoist does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app collects no personal data from any user, regardless of age.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
