Privacy Policy

Trot ("we", "our", or "the app") is built by BullForge Labs Ltd. Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and what stays on your device.

The short version: Trot does not collect, store, or share any personal data on external servers. Everything stays on your iPhone and Apple Watch.

What data Trot collects

Trot collects only the data needed to run the app and track your progress: your name and fitness level (entered during onboarding, stored locally only), session history (which sessions you have completed), workout data (steps, distance, calories, duration, recorded during each run), and body mass (read from Apple Health silently if available, to improve calorie estimates).

Apple Health (HealthKit)

Trot requests access to Apple Health to read and write workout data. This includes steps, distance, active calories, and workout sessions.

HealthKit data is never shared with third parties, never used for advertising, and never sent to any server. All HealthKit data remains on your device and within the Apple ecosystem.

You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in iPhone Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Trot.

Data we do not collect

No location or GPS data. No analytics or usage tracking. No advertising identifiers. No crash reporting sent to external services. No account registration or email address. No data sent to any server at any time.

Where your data is stored

All app data is stored locally on your device using Apple’s App Group storage, shared securely between the Trot iPhone app and the Apple Watch app. No data leaves your device.

If you delete the app, all locally stored data is removed. Data already written to Apple Health will remain in Apple Health unless you delete it there separately.

In-app purchases

Trot offers a one-time purchase to unlock the full 9-week programme. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Trot never sees or handles your payment information.

Children’s privacy

Trot is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.

Changes to this policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
